MFPA announces Christmas Tree Award winner!
Hoffman family of Linn, MO will receive personalized plaque; statewide
recognition & publicity
December 30, 2004—Jefferson City, MO: The Missouri Forests Products Association
(MFPA) has announced a winner in their search for the state’s best decorated
live Christmas Tree! Yesterday the Hoffman family of Linn, Missouri was
announced as the winner.
The MFPA 2004 Christmas Tree Award recognizes the owner of Missouri’s Best Live
Christmas Tree. The promotion was hosted on the MFPA website,
www.moforest.org. A link currently on the
MFPA home page will direct visitors to the site. The site also details ways to
properly dispose of your Christmas tree.
The Hoffman family is made up of father Ron, mother Veronica and children
Elizabeth, Chase & Zeb.
“The best Christmas Tree is the tree you can display your heart on,” Veronica
said. “Families like trees, grow as every year goes by. Every year, each child
gains a new ornament representing something they have done in the past 12
months. The meaning of ornaments represents our history, and only a real
evergreen tree is worthy of showcasing the yearly growth.”
Both Ron and Veronica have military backgrounds, Ron having served 25 years in
the U.S. Air Force active duty and reserve program and Veronica is currently
enlisted active duty in the International Guard. Ron is also a Fire Chief in
Linn and an Emergency Medical Technician at Capitol Region Medical Center.
“We are busy people and our activities are represented on our tree,” Veronica
said. “From baby’s first Christmas to scouts to this year and our daughter’s
first year at the University of Missouri.”
