Missouri's Best Christmas Tree



MFPA is looking for Missouri’s Best Live Christmas Tree!

Christmas is almost here so it is time to start thinking about decorating your tree!  If you think you have a uniquely designed live Christmas Tree, enter it in the Missouri Forest Products Association’s 2004 Christmas Tree Award for a chance to be recognized as the owner of Missouri’s Best Live Christmas Tree.  The winner will receive a personalized plaque from MFPA, in addition to being featured on the MFPA website and in the January issue of MFPA News!

If you prefer last year’s decoration style pull out that photo and send it in. The contest will be judged on visual appeal and healthy tree appearance.

To enter, complete the ENTRY FORM for submission along with your Christmas Tree picture. All entrants must be 18 or older. See OFFICIAL RULES for details.

All submitted photos may be selected to appear at moforest.org.

     AWARD GUIDELINES…FOR THE BEST CHANCE TO WIN!

·         Your Christmas Tree has to be real…creativity is encouraged!

·         Entries are judged not only on appearance, but creativity, enclosed description, photo composition and anything else appealing to the eye.

·         At least one individual photographed must be at least 18 years old

·         Each separate photo requires its own entry form and description. A clever description increases the chance to win.

·         Please do not send electronic files larger than 1MB. GIF and JPG file formats are recommended.

·         Digital photos are encouraged, but postal and hand-delivered entries also can be submitted.

FOLLOW THESE RULES AND YOU WILL BE ENTERED INTO MFPA’S 2004 CHRISTMAS TREE AWARD:

  1. Only clear photos will be accepted. Along with the photo a caption must be submitted.
  1. Digital photos are strongly recommended and must be mailed in a .GIF or .JPG format to moforest@moforest.org.  Required information is the same for all entries; however pictures on slides will not be accepted. Photos and entry forms can be submitted to: Missouri Forest Products Christmas Tree Award, 505 East State Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101-3038. (Photos will become property of MFPA and will not be returned.)
  1. The Christmas tree photographed must be in a residential setting. Professionally decorated trees are ineligible.
  1. Photos with major damage (adhesives, folds, rips and tears) will not be considered.
  1. Electronic, hand-delivered and postal entries must contain all information asked for on the ENTRY FORM. Required information: Photographer’s name, address, two phone numbers (if possible), 25-50 word caption/description and confirmation of legal statements.
  1. Beginning December 1, 2004 contest entry forms can be mailed or hand-delivered to: Missouri Forest Products Association, Christmas Tree Award, 505 East State Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101-3038.
  1. Entries must arrive by Monday, December 20 at 8am. Multiple entries are acceptable with individual entry forms.
  1. The Missouri Forest Products Association is not responsible for damaged, misdirected, destroyed, late or lost contest entries.
  1. Winners will be asked to provide proof of age.
  1. Each photo will be judged independently regardless of the number submitted.
  1. Winners will be notified via telephone or e-mail by Wednesday, December 29, 2004.
  1. Photos will not be returned and become property of the Missouri Forest Products Association. Other than the announced award, MFPA reserves the right to use photos in any media, promotion or web site.
  1. MFPA reserves the right to publish winner’s names, locations or photographs for publicity purposes without any claim for broadcasting, Internet, print or other rights or further compensation.
  1. The award will be mailed to the winner.
  1. With submission of the ENTRY FORM the entrant confirms they have permission from the individual whose home the Christmas Tree photo appears in for entry in the 2004 MFPA Christmas Tree Award. All individuals photographed must have given their consent to the reproduction, publication, distribution or other use by MFPA, his or her successors and assigns, of the entrant’s photograph, name and likeness.
  1. All promotion entrants release the Missouri Forest Products Association, its employees and agents, successor and assigns, from any and all claims which they may have arising out of any use of their photo, name and likeness. Entrants confirm they are the owner of all rights, including copyright of their entry photos and have read and agreed to all contest rules.
