Salem, MO  65560

Presenters:
Terry Cunningham (Manager, Pioneer) – Lessons learned from the salvage harvest on Pioneer Forest
Peter Becker (Research Coordinator, EOFC) – Co-harvesting saw logs and smallwood is a smart move
Bill Stuart and Laura Grace (Professors, Department of Forestry, Mississippi State University) – Organize your logging business to ensure success and protect your own

Featured speakers Bill and Laura both have extensive experience with timber procurement and harvesting and the continuing education of loggers.  Each year they produce a report on logging costs, and recently they have become more involved with biomass procurement.  Bill comes from a logging family in Pennsylvania, and he and Laura will be around to visit after the workshop.

Loggers are encouraged to attend this free workshop with their book keepers because the importance of keeping careful expense records will be emphasized.  Continuing education credits will be available through MFPA.  Lunch and beverages will be provided so pre-registration is essential for a head count—names of all attendees will be needed.
